I like to think of these pictures as a few scenes through the eyes of the farm-workers we serve. Certainly there are many more scenes that I am unable to record: their view of the fields, the rakes, ladders, tractors and baskets, their blistered hands and feet, and more…
Even though our primary goal as an organization is to offer medical services and promote health, as an individual I value my role as witness. I have seen strenuous work and austere housing. I will not forget the dignity, joy and strength of the people and families I have met in the farm-worker community.
